Spiritual Liars

I've always hated liars
They are the worst form of humans
Often times found it the church
Believing sin can be shielded with a cloth

Cuculus non facit monachum
The cloak does not make the monk
The words of the bible they chew
With hearts far from God

How can in one breathe
Profess to love a man
And without thinking
Tell to his face 'it was a lie'

Being spiritual isn't the key to heaven
Christ watches the heart
God hates slanderers and backbiting
Remove the wood first from your eyes
