Shelled Heartstrings

 Most times when I feel down
I seek out a lifeline
I hope to get help
A way out of the mess

At some point
I have this thought
'there's no way out'
No matter how hard I try

I never liked girls
Fortunately I have one now as a friend
She helps brighten my mood
On a starless night, she is my moon

I wished to take her to the alter
Such plans I haven't altered
But then, I thought we shared a relationship
I was duped into 'special' friendship
